About Leah
Leah is a birth doula and mom of two providing compassionate, continuous labour support to families in Durham Region, York Region, Toronto, and through virtual doula services. She has experienced birth in very different ways — a medicated hospital birth and an unmedicated home birth — giving her a deep, balanced understanding of how birth can unfold and how deeply it can stay with you.
Leah believes that feeling supported during labour matters, not only in the moment, but long after birth. As a non-medical birth doula, her role is to focus entirely on the birthing person — offering hands-on comfort measures, emotional support, and clear, calm guidance as labour progresses. She supports informed decision-making and remains a steady presence through an intense and vulnerable experience.
Research shows that continuous labour support from a doula is linked to more positive birth experiences and greater satisfaction with birth. Leah became a doula because she believes every person deserves to look back on their birth knowing they were supported, respected, and never alone.
